- Rakhale has struggled to shine this season
- With only seven appearances and 240 minutes on the field this year has not raised any eyebrows
- Perhaps he will find a better home at Chippa United
Orlando Pirates wing Thabo Rakhale has walked the plank in a deal which sent the player to Chippa United which allowed the Pirates to secure Diamond Thopola and Phetso Maphanga from the Chilli Boys.
Briefly.co.za learned that the 27-year-old has been a benchwarmer for much of this season's ABSA premiership since the coach Milutin Sredojevic only allowed the player to make one start. As a result, Rakhale has struggled to get exposure. The last time he scored a goal was two years ago.
The club wished him well and thanked him for his service. The exchange is immediate but the players will only be registered in January when the transfer window opens according to soccerladuma.co.za.
Rakhale has struggled to repeat his early form, in 2013 he scored a massive 10 goals, starting and appearing in 23 matches of the season for the Royal Eagles. This year he has only started once out of only 7 appearances.
